Junior Cricket

The Junior Cricket Manage is Steve Tyrrell and he had overall responsibility for junior cricket at all levels within the club.

The club runs 4 junior teams at Under 17's, Under 15's, Under 13's, and Under 11's level. The Under 17's, 15's and 13's play league cricket in the Lancashire County League. The Under 11's also play league but at Tameside and District League. The under 17's play on Wednesday evenings, the Under 15's on Tuesday evenings, the Under 13's on Sunday mornings and the Under 11's games are arranged on an ad hoc basic when the ground is available.

All youngsters in the local community are welcome to come to the club, have fun and enjoy taking part in cricket. Membership is also open to all boys and girls for a subscription of £5.00 per year. The Managers and contact phone numbers are on the contact page.

All junior coaches are accredited and qualified Level 1 England and Wales Cricket Board coaches.

Practice nights for juniors is on Monday at the club between 6.00pm and 8.00pm. The cost for each session is just £1.00. Youngsters should wear P.E. kit or tracksuit for training sessions. All equipment is provided by the club. The club has recently invested a considerable amount of money in providing a new double bay of cricket nets and artificial surfaces. Other good practice surfaces with mobile net cages are also available. The sessions are open to all boys and girls wishing to take part.
