| The Club has a very picturesque ground situated on Medlock
Road in Woodhouses, Failsworth, opposite Brookdale Golf Club.
The Club was
founded in 1908 and it has achieved much success both on and off the field
over the years. The facilities of the club have been provided almost
entirely by self-help and self-financing. An enormous amount of voluntary
work has gone into the running and upkeep of the club. The club is very
proud of it has achieved and recent significant developments include a major
refurbishment of the club's function room and bar, the building of a tea
room for players and spectators and the development of a play and picnic
area for families to use when visiting the grounds.

The club
is delighted to help 'produce' Michael Atherton, the former England
Cricket Captain. Michael spent all his formative years from the age of 8
- 18 playing at Woodhouses C.C. until he was awarded his county cap by
Lancashire County Cricket Club.
All visitors are welcome
on the ground and there is no admission charge for spectators at league
matches. |
