They say things get better with age, and a year on
from the regeneration of Failsworth Pole Gardens the
summer planting scheme is proving a real show
stopper with local people and visitors alike.
Councillor Jim McMahon said "to have a centrepiece
like this in our town makes us feel very proud. It
is important to pay special attention to Failsworth
Pole Gardens to show people Failsworth is on the
up!"
In addition to the planting at Failsworth Pole local
councillors are also putting a package of 'bloom'
measures together.
What are we going to
make Failsworth bloom?
- Fantastic flagship planting scheme at Failsworth
Pole
- Summer planting at the new Failsworth War Memorial
- Hanging baskets and planters at Ashton Road East
shops
- Hanging Baskets at Lord Lane shops and Poplar
Street
- Funding three new community gardens in Higher
Failsworth with a flagship project at Wrigleyhead
- Organised community planting days, starting this
week at Failsworth Pole.
