Wheatsheaf
699 Oldham Rd
Failsworth
Manchester
Lancashire
M35 9AT

Appearance

Recently repainted, new carpets, generally clean & tidy. Brightly lit, noisy, you can't miss it.

Service

Pleasant, lively, regular, all female bar staff who sometimes double as the cabaret act

Food

None served

Entertainment

This is an animated pub with regular sessions from the landlady/DJ and apparently anyone else who fancies a go. Attracts good karaoke singers. Yogi Bear a frequent visitor. (If you don't know what that means you'll soon find out!)

Overall

A traditional unpretentious pub with a previously unfavourable reputation that has successfully reinvented itself under new ownership. Mainly aimed at a younger crowd and still not for the faint hearted though some of the older regulars might disagree. Prices a little high maybe but definitely worth checking out. Close to Hollinwood Junction area, taxis etc.
